Everyone has times in their life when things just do not seem to go the way they should. Life can seem to be frustrating at times. And bad things happen to everyone. Things can happen to make you very sad. Things can happen to make you mad.

But no matter what happens we can be at peace. Peace does not mean you are not sad, but it means you can deal with your sadness. You do not let the sadness rule your life. You do not dwell on the fact that you are sad. The same is true of being mad. There will still be times when you will be mad. But you will not let the madness rule your life. You leave your madness behind.

In Judges 6:24, we read, "Then Gideon built an altar there unto the Lord, and called it Jehovah shalom." The words Jehovah shalom are the Hebrew words which mean 'Jehovah is peace.' You can get true peace from God. By putting your trust in Him, you know that no matter what happens, He will take care of you. You know that Christ had all the same problems we have but He lived in peace.

How do we get this peace? "Be careful[anxious] in nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."(Philippians 4:6-7).

Keep studying your Bible. Learn to trust in God. Get that peace. And if any of this is hard to understand, ask an adult to help you.
